Love Across the Waters
My Saudi Arabian period was such a life-changer. This is also the time when I met Meral - my bestie who lives in Canada.
We have never met. We became such close friends on a Glee - karaoke app, but yet have never met.
We have witnessed each other singing in random places - once she even Facetimed me in the middle of a major scene of mine in my graduation show at drama school. Just imagine! I TOTALLY LOVED IT!
A few years fast forward - and now she has a baby and so much time for singing or me. Not that I have lots of time for singing myself. To be fair, I think she even has more time for it than I do, or am I just making excuses? I hope I do not.
She has just come up with this absolutely incredible idea of giving coffee credit as a gift to each other! If that is not love, then I do not know what is! I profess I have abandoned my regular Starbucks trips but hell - amazing friends will always know what is best for you and what makes you happy.
I suggest and advise this to all long0distance friends out there!
