Hi.

Welcome to my blog. This is where you can find my thoughts on (a digitalised form of) paper. Arts. Philosophy. Science. And everything that can be and is in-between.

Hope you have a nice stay!

#LondonImpressions Pt.1: Theatreland

#LondonImpressions Pt.1: Theatreland

Theatreland. Museums. Loads of immersive cultural events and [digitalised] sound / light installations. Some other moments which are hard to categorise so I prefer to call them Impressions. #LondonImpressions.

When I came to London, I full of excitement and sparkle in my eyes - Theatre! Acting! Stage! Lots and lots of awesomeness just waiting and lots of different stage-secrets to discover. London School of Dramatic Art would become my Sanctuary and second home very very soon.

Many interesting and multi-layered characters have been played. With a spine.

‘This is the recipe of life,’ said my mother as she held me in her arms as I wept. ‘Think of those flowers you plant in the garden each year. They will teach you that people too must wilt. Fall. Root. Rise. In order to bloom.’
— Rupi Kaur

This is exactly what drama school is like. A full circle, and - a plenty of weeping (which cannot be separated from loads of fun too). As you stand on stage at the end of the course and let the magic of the first real curtain call soak you in its magic, you realise this is what has happened indeed. There was a certain amount of wilting and falling when you realise there is lots to learn, so many things in yourself you need to break so you can raise and shine.
